the 2022 sock geeks design competition

We received so many sock designs from Sock Geeks ALL around...
THE QUALITY OF THE ENTRIES WERE amazing, MAKING OUR JOB EXTREMELY DIFFICULT! AFTER MUCH DELIBERATION, we narrowed them down to Eightto bring you this year's shortlist.

Now it's your turn to HELP decide which design we'll make and send to our subscribers!

Sankey Sock

A great pattern and a great colour combination made us fall for this design!

My design is based on a type of chart known as a "Sankey Diagram" I love data visualization, and this is one of the most visually pleasing examples. For some reason, I feel like it belongs on a sock. I have chosen a set of colors for the chart to pair well with almost any bold block color, almost feeling like a totally different character sock every time. I hope you like it!"

Whoops

These socks are about making the best of a seemingly bad situation.

We’ve all been there.. when that one red sock gets mixed in with the white laundry load and you end up with a pile of pink. We’ve all been there.. when that one red sock gets mixed in with the white laundry load and you end up with a pile of pink. For some this would be disastrous but for those who love pink it is a welcomed accident.. So don’t cry over spilt milk and pick yourself up - because pink isn’t so bad after all. :)

Bella Watters

"My name’s Bella, I’m a 27 year old housewife and sock enthusiast from London. I love nature, dogs, colours and silliness. Mostly housebound at present but a traveller and explorer at heart. Marrying the coolest guy on earth is still by far my greatest achievement :)"

Tortilla Chips

We were very happy to have been introduced to the tortilla chips!

By playing with different colours and switching off and on layers, what started off as a clear geometric pattern unintentionally turned into a design I am pleased with. As to what people see, it's really up to their own interpretation - from stripes to kites to fish to tortilla chips, anything is possible !

Sockasaurus Rex

Never be cold-blooded again with Sockasaurus Rex socks to keep your feet nice and toasty.

Inspired by the great beasts of the jurassic, no discerning sock owner should be without a pair of dinosocks.

Blockbusters

Fans of the hit TV gameshow Blockbusters can enjoy some 80s and 90s nostalgia by sporting this instantly recognisable hexagonal design.

The simple pattern and the complementary colours allow the socks to be worn by even those who are not familiar with the gameshow. The two discernible colours are bookended with the games other main colour.

Mystical Potteries

A unique masterpiece of craftsmanship, they create a vivid pattern at the same time.

Here we see Ancient pottery, perhaps made in the Middle East. The bowls and jars are arranged harmoniously with each other, although each is a unique masterpiece of craftsmanship. Tan and green color scheme create a down-to-earth feel.
